We met up with teachers Mary Wever (@WeverWorld), from East Lansing Public Schools, and Deidre Stasiak (@MissStasiak), from Godfrey-Lee Public Schools, to discuss blended learning at the elementary school level.
In talking with these outstanding teachers it was clear that personalization and differentiation of instruction have been governing ideologies that inform their technology integration. It was also interesting to hear about how they have been able to enhance their engagement with students’ parents through their blended instructional practices. In fact, they began doing flipped videos as a resource for parents! Great stuff.
You can watch our conversation below.
We’ve made the visit to Wever World and you should too! For a more detailed account of what their teaching looks like in the face-to-face environment, check out the blog post we wrote when we visited Mary and Deidre to watch their students learn. You should also visit their online environment. There you will find a lot of valuable resources that you might consider using directly or as inspiration for creating your own online learning spaces.
